Migration from near-intents.org to near.com

Introduction

The near-intents.org website was created as a proof-of-concept to demonstrate the abilities of NEAR Intents. As it grew in its own right, it became clear that it needed replacement by a first-party product.

That product is now available at near.com. There, you can do everything you can do at near-intents.org, but within a friendlier and more efficient user experience.

In addition, near.com is where new features are made available, such as Confidential Intents, that allows you to hold balances and perform swaps privately.

You need to migrate

Soon, near-intents.org will be discontinued as an operational public-facing application, and therefore all near-intents.org users should migrate to near.com as soon as possible.

How do you migrate?

How you migrate depends on how you sign in to your near-intents.org account:

• If you sign in with a Web3 wallet — nothing to do
• If you sign in with a passkey — create a new account at near.com and transfer your assets

Web3 wallet users

There is nothing to do. Your funds live on the NEAR Intents protocol itself, not on any specific website. Signing in to near.com with the same Web3 wallet gives you access to the same balances — no transfer needed.

Passkey users

You will need to create a new account at near.com with a new passkey, and then transfer your assets from near-intents.org to near.com.

1. Create a new passkey account on near.com, and copy your address
   • Open near.com
   • Choose Passkey as the login option
   • Click "Create new passkey".
   • In the account menu, choose "My address"
   • Copy your address to the clipboard on the next screen.
2. Transfer your assets from near-intents.org
   • Sign in with your existing passkey at near-intents.org.
   • From the Accounts screen, choose Withdraw
   • Select the asset to transfer, choose the "NEAR Intents Internal Network".
   • Paste in your near.com address
   • Enter a small test amount first and click Withdraw. Once verified, come back and transfer the rest.
3. Verify the transfer at near.com
   • Switch back to near.com and confirm your transfer arrived.
   • Repeat step 2 until all your assets have been transferred.
